A disposable laparoscopic balloon trocar (auto-shield) is a single-use, advanced medical device specifically engineered for minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries. It integrates the core functions of a standard disposable laparoscopic balloon trocar-creating a safe access port to the body's internal cavities (e.g., peritoneal cavity) and using an inflatable balloon for tissue protection-with an additional automatic shielding mechanism to further enhance procedural safety and reduce the risk of accidental tissue or organ injury.

• Single-Use (Disposable) Design: Manufactured for one-time surgical use only, with no reprocessing, sterilization, or reuse intended. This eliminates cross-contamination risks between patients and streamlines operating room workflows by removing the need for cleaning/sterilization of reusable devices.

• Inflatable Balloon: A biocompatible (e.g., silicone, medical-grade polyurethane) collapsible balloon attached near the trocar's distal tip. After initial insertion through the abdominal/pelvic wall layers, the balloon is inflated with sterile fluid (e.g., saline) or gas. Its expansion dilates surrounding tissue to create a stable, enlarged working space, minimizes instrument movement within tissue, and acts as a physical barrier to protect underlying organs (e.g., intestines, blood vessels) from accidental damage.

• Hollow Cannula: A rigid, hollow tube that forms the device's core. Once the balloon is inflated and the access path is secured, the cannula remains in place to serve as a sealed channel for inserting other laparoscopic tools (e.g., laparoscopes, graspers, scissors) into the internal cavity while maintaining pneumoperitoneum (pressurized gas environment critical for laparoscopic visualization and operation).
